Our first stop will be in the most fascinating monument in Rome, a place where 50.000 people watched cruel battles between gladiators and wild beasts: The Colosseum. You will have a chance to take photos of the iconic amphitheater from the exterior, as well as the stately Arch of Costantine, right there on the same piazza.
Climb the graceful steps of the Capitoline Hill and marvel at the
symmetrical beauty of the piazza restyled by Michelangelo, then enjoy a
beautiful panorama of the Roman Forum. From this vantage point, you’ll get an
excellent view of the Temple of Saturn and the Rostrum where Mark
Anthony made his impassioned speech over the body of Julius Cesar.
Piazza Venezia is a stone’s throw
away, known for the Victor Emanuel Monument, a gigantic complex of white
marble (sometimes referred to as "the wedding cake”) built in honour of
the first king of unified Italy. In this
piazza also stands the palazzo that was Mussolini's headquarters, where
he gave many of his legendary speeches from the balcony facing the piazza.
At Trevi Fountain, you’ll get an eyeful of Baroque goodness. Remember
to throw a coin over your shoulder to ensure your return to Rome!
At the Pantheon, you’ll see the handsome coffered dome and
immense Oculus, feats of ancient Roman engineering still
there after almost 2000 years.
After the sweeping Spanish Steps and Rome’s most sophisticated shopping
district, you’ll walk through Piazza Navona, the most beautiful Baroque
square in the city. The day will not be
complete unless you try the chocolate truffle ice cream, famous all over the
world.
If you want to stop for lunch your driver can recommend good places with
traditional dishes and local wine.

Kindly note that the acquisition of skip-the-line tickets is not guaranteed. Procurement is dependent on availability, to be confirmed at the time we go to book them. Booking tickets has become extremely difficult this year due to the activities of huge agencies that have access to sales ahead of agencies such as ours.
Ticket sales for the Vatican Museums open (to us) two months ahead of the selected date; the Colosseum one month ahead.
In the event we can't secure tickets, we will offer you an alternative activity. There is no end to fascinating archeological sites and amazing churches in Rome.
Our intention is not to cause alarm but we felt it was important to be transparent regarding this difficult situation in order to manage expectations. Rest assured we will do our very best to find any tickets you request through our trusted suppliers. We appreciate your understanding.

2. Is the driver also a guide?
Our English-speaking drivers are NOT licensed guides. To provide you with the best-in-class service, our English-speaking driving guides have been trained to offer our clients a nice overview with information regarding the major highlights avoiding the expensive charges of hiring a private guide. Due to strict Italian laws & regulations that protect officially licensed guides, our driving guides can comment and explain the sights only from inside the vehicle but are not allowed to do so once they are outside the vehicle. They are regularly licensed instead to chauffeur the public. We highly recommend that you never book with any touring company that does not make this clear.
3. Does the driver go with us inside the monuments?
No, only a licensed guide is authorized to accompany you during the visit of sights. Our driver will drop you off close to the sights but will stay with the vehicle for the duration of your visit.
4. Does this tour include lunch and admission fees to sites?
No tickets or lunch are included in the rate. Please contact our office for pricing and reservations.
5. Does it include a guide?
No guide is included in the rate. If you would like to have a private guide to show you the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, please contact our office for pricing and reservations.
6. Is the itinerary flexible?
Our itineraries are completely flexible, and we will be happy to operate any changes to the original itinerary (within reason). Please contact our office with all the requests you may have so that we can better organize your day.
7. What is the duration of the tour? Can we extend the time upfront with the driver?
The duration of this service is 5 hours, including pickup and drop off at your hotel in Rome. If you would like to add extra hours to your tour, please contact our office so that we can check the driver's availability and advise the cost.
8. Is gratuity included in the price?
Tips are never included in our quotes. We think that a tip shouldn’t be included in the rate otherwise it would be a tax!!! Once in Italy do not feel as though you have to tip everyone because someone told you to. Tip only if you really liked the service. Tips are generally: 10% not bad 15 % great 20 % best tour in my life. Please report any abuse.
There will be a full charge for bookings canceled with less than 72-hour notice for any service required. In this case, a full charge will be made on your credit card. If you miss your flight or if your airline decides to cancel the flight due to bad weather or if your flight is directed to another airport on arrival, please advise us on time (as soon as you know) or a full charge will be made.
Please give us enough time so we can accept other reservations and allocate them to our chauffeurs. If the ship does not make it to the pier for bad weather, you will not be considered responsible so NO CHARGE will be made to your credit card. A full charge will be made for a no-show-up.
Only pre-purchased skip-the-line tickets (if requested) are not refundable under the circumstance and will be charged to your card.
