Shore excursions in Italy ,Daily Tours and guided Limousine services.
We had an awesome day with Claudio our driver. He collected us promptly and took care to find out what we expected to get from our trip and made sure that he exceeded these expectations. He called ahead to book a trusted private tour guide who was waiting for us on our arrival in Pompeii - he was fantastic! And then we drove on to Sorrento, stopping at various places on the Amalfie Coast to take photographs and then we had a late lunch in Il Positano, before returning to Rome. Travelling with two young daughters, it was a long day trip, but memorable - and we all thought it was our best day of our week-long holiday to Rome.

ITINERARY VALID MONDAY TILL SATURDAY MORNING

Your local English speaking guide will meet you outside the port terminal, and you will depart on your tour to discover some of Malta's most interesting sights. You will start by visiting the medieval city of Mdina, Malta's former capital. The history of Mdina and its suburb Rabat is as old and as diversified as the history of Malta itself and dates back to before Roman times.

During your walk-around with your informative guide, you will be passing through the picturesque winding streets, admiring the beautiful palazzos, as well as enjoying the panoramic view from the bastions. You will then proceed to Ta Qali Crafts Centre where you will have some free time at a glass-blowing factory. Various techniques are utilised to create the vast array of artwork and the high standard, quality and design interpretation of these glassware products have made them highly sought after by both locals and visitors.

Leaving Ta Qali, you will pass through the town of Mosta where you will have a photo stop outside the Mosta Church. Known with the locals as the Rotunda, this church has the third largest dome in Europe. You will then visit Valletta, the current capital city of Malta. Your first stop will be at the Upper Barrakka Gardens from where you can photograph the panoramic view of the Grand Harbour, the world's largest and deepest natural harbour, with the fortifications of the Three Cities across the water as a backdrop.

Passing various historic buildings you will then reach St. John's Co-Cathedral, a gem of Baroque art and architecture. It was built as the conventual church for the Knights of St. John. The Grand Masters and several knights donated gifts of high artistic value and made enormous contributions to enrich it with only the best works of art. The renowned painting of Caravaggio, the Beheading of St. John can be admired in the oratory. It is the largest painting produced by the artist and the only one known to be signed. You will then walk to your car to take you back to the port.
